Would like to meet residency
I was selected to take part in Quarantine UKs WLTM residency, an international collaboration and knowledge exchange between practitioners of different ages working in the same field. I worked with Stephanie Brittnacher, a Chemnitz based illustrator.
Don’t cry over spilt milk is the culmination of our creative collaboration and was printed as a zine in Germany and in the UK.
Observational drawing and exploring the “everyday” is central to both of our practices. In both Manchester and Chemnitz, we began by exploring the cities, talking about our shared experiences and sketching as we went.
Our outcome animation, which we made in 3 days, combines our observational
drawing practices and a shared curiosity about everyday life
to create a short narrative piece exploring human routines and
quiet urban rituals.
Final works exhibited in Museum Gunzenhauser in Chemntiz, work in progress in HOME Manchester, photo credits Mark Frost, Solomon Hughes.
